Inspiration From the Mountains

Featured Artists' Products in Store

It doesn’t take long to understand why people become so inspired when driving into the welcoming mountains of Estes Park. Climbers, bicyclists, runners, walkers, photographers, artists, and more, find themselves completely captured by the majestic Rocky Mountains. While Kind Coffee enjoys being the resting place of many bicyclists and runners after they race up Trail Ridge Road or summit Long’s Peak, we are also proud to exhibit many local artists throughout the shop. From the photographing adventures of Erik Stensland to the stunning silk paintings and ornaments by Nicole Rische to Greg Dannels fantastic, fun, one of a kind mugs, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally we have jewelry hand crafted by artists near and far including Lara Holland’s (a past KIND Coffee barista) jewelry line Niyol and hand-made ceramic pendant necklaces by Linda Wagner.

The art featured in our gallery room rotates periodically and we are happy to say any featured art work in the gallery is for sale via either the shop or the artist themselves. We are currently featuring one of our frequent customers, Kathy Harding, and her striking photographs on canvas as well as eye-catching silk paintings by our school district’s art teacher, Nicole Rische.

Swing by Kind Coffee, grab a delicious cup of coffee or tea, enjoy one of our savory snacks, and delve into the small town coffee shop atmosphere while taking in the beautiful surroundings. But be warned, you might not be able to resist the temptation to add a piece to your own or a loved one’s jewelry collection, or some life to your walls with artwork or photographs and promote and support the people in this amazing community. We try to consistently carry prints and note cards of Dick Orleans’ photographs. From shots of iconic scenery to stunning wildlife photos, Dick Orleans was masterful in his patience when it came to waiting for that perfect photo of a fast moving pica, a soaring eagle, or that beautiful alpenglow as the sun first colors the mountains as it peaks over the horizon. Dick Orleans was also well known as a local musician who enjoyed sharing his love for music and we sell a limited edition CD in shop which helps fund the Dick Orleans Memorial Scholarship Fund.
